According to the analysis of Taiwan circuit board Association (TPCA), after the rapid rise of carrier board, it has been in short supply, In terms of application market, it includes three main axes, namely smart phone (the largest application market), HPC (high-speed growth application market) and electric vehicle (future potential market).

The carrier used in smart phones is mainly BT carrier. In recent years, the use of BT carrier has been continuously driven by the increase of SIP, AIP and RF RF modules of 5g mobile phones. With the continuous acceleration of 5g commercialization, 5g smart phones are expected to be a new driving force to promote the growth of smart phones in the future.

C platforms include personal computers, tablets, game consoles, servers, base stations, etc. ABF carrier boards are mainly used as chip packages in HPC products. In the future, including the continuous deployment of 5g base stations, the growth in the demand for data centers and AI servers, and the increase in the sales of new generation game consoles, will promote the demand of HPC market.
For a long time, automobile has been an important application market for chips. The shortage of automotive chips, which began to burn in the second half of last year, has not been alleviated, and has forced international car manufacturers to reduce production or even stop production. It can be seen that chips are important to the automobile industry. With the continuous promotion of international carbon neutrality, governments of various countries have set a timetable for eliminating traditional fuel vehicles, which is bound to promote car manufacturers to accelerate the development of electric vehicles.

TPCA analysis, after the rapid rise of the carrier board in 2020, it has been in short supply. Coupled with COVID-19 catalysis, the speed of digital transformation has intensified. In addition to the strong demand for home economics, the demand for AI and high-speed computing is also increasing, resulting in a substantial increase in demand for CPU and GPU, resulting in a serious shortage of ABF carrying boards with highly continuous semiconductors. It has also become a production bottleneck for many wafer foundry and wafer factories to ship smoothly.
